Behavioral Health and School Medicaid

Behavioral and mental health services are becoming an increasingly important part of the broader school health and Medicaid conversation. We'll look at why schools are playing a larger role, which professionals and services may be involved, and how state Medicaid programs are responding through expanded coverage and new delivery models. The session will also examine workforce, documentation, reimbursement, care coordination, and policy challenges from the perspectives of schools, providers, billing companies, Medicaid agencies, and Departments of Education. Attendees will leave with a clearer picture of why behavioral health matters even if it is not currently a major component of their own School Medicaid program.
